Research options like beachfront rentals North Carolina and you won’t be disappointed.

Visit a National Park

Getting out in nature is a great way to spend quality time with your family. You could visit the beautiful hot springs at Yellowstone National Park or spend some time with the trees at Redwood National and State Parks. If you’re not experienced hikers, research which park would is best for beginner’s hikes and nature walks. If you want to hit multiple parks in one trip, plan a trip to Southern Utah where you could visit Arches, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon and more.

See the Great Lakes

If you’ve never been to the great lakes, you should consider checking them out. The lakes are so large that you can’t see the other side, which makes you feel like you’re by the ocean. Kayak by day and visit the boardwalk towns by night. There is a lot of rich history in the area from checking out the ghost towns near Lake Superior to visiting the German-inspired town, Frankenmuth, near Lake Huron. The Great Lakes offer so many opportunities for exploring, so spend your time by one lake or take a road trip across multiple states to see all of them.

Plan a Staycation

Staycations are great because you don’t have to spend as much on travel or lodging and can put that money toward activities. Talk with your family about the things they’ve always wanted to do in or near your town. Go all out with exciting restaurants, adventurous activities and bucket-list items. Rent a projector and make your own movie theater in your home or your backyard. Have a movie marathon that spans multiple nights. Whatever you decide to do, make it new and exciting for everyone in your family.

Discuss vacation options with your family members and include all of them in the vacation-planning process. Remember that quality time is the most important thing, so try not to get lost in the details of planning.
